ONE IMMIGRANT, NO VOTE
21 December 2015, Pepino
If you are not an immigrant, you have no idea how it feels in an election day when you don't have a right to vote. I pay my taxes in Spain but I can't decide how they are spent. This year I resigned from the Communist Party of Spain and I'm not sure about my political ideas at the moment - it's possible that I wouldn't have voted. However, there is a big difference between of not using your right to vote and not having this right.
The following weeks are interesting - I think the most probable scenario is that the fragmented parliament can't form a government and there will be new elections in March. Maybe I begin the process of acquiring the Spanish citizenship now to be able to participate then.

THE PIZZA TOWER OF BABEL
11 December 2015, Pepino
Your pizza is Kurdish, your cocaine is Peruvian, your cleaning lady is Moldavian, your prostitute is Nigerian, your ally is American, your enemy is Syrian - and you complain that your refugee is a foreigner.
Earlier this year Daesh supporter Abu Abdullah Britani threatened Italians on Twitter: #We_Are_Coming_O_Rome, we will conquer and establish the justice of #shariah. We will use your leaning tower of pizza to throw off homosexual.
COLD NUMBERS
07 December 2015, Pepino
It's so cold in my studio that I can hardly work during the winter months. I guess I'll stay in my well-heated home drawing small things and planning future projects. Moreover, I've done more than enough works for one year. It has been a very productive period at the Turborealist Headquarters, though sometimes I had a feeling that I was concentrating more in my personal life than work. In 2015 I've done
42 A4 drawings
18 large works on paper
7 large paintings on canvas
8 object based works
1 public performance
In January I also gave final touches to several works that were shipped for my show Turbo Realism at Galerie Forsblom, Helsinki. I finished this year the super size 50 States of Black monochrome piece, too, exhibited at the moment at Artipelag, Stockholm.
THE MINSTREL SHOW
01 December 2015, Cervera de los Montes
On Black Friday, I received my new works. I love to use promotional offers of companies that allow you to personalize their products. The Spanish chocolate coated peanut brand Conguitos sells now their loathsome racist mascot holding a sign where you can order any slogan you wish. Conquitos means little Congolese. The Belgians used to punish the Congolese by chopping their hands off and still chocolate hands are a popular sweet in Belgium. I don't know what part of a body Conguitos are but it's hard to believe that this kind of racist branding is legal.
I ordered my Conguitos with the names of the most famous denfenders of the civil rights of African and Afro-American people: Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr, Steve Biko, Rosa Parks, Patrice Lumumba, Malcolm X and Angela Davis. The title is The Minstrel Show, which was an American form of entertainment developed in the 19th century of comic skits, variety acts, dancing, and music, performed by white people in blackface. Minstrel shows lampooned black people as dim-witted, lazy, buffoonish, superstitious and happy-go-lucky.
