I’m flying back home via Sweden and reading Ammar Abdulhamid’s novel about Hasan who has the ability to smell a menstruating woman among a thousand others. It makes me sad to read a story that takes place in Damascus before the devastating war caused by the geopolitical greed of the West. What is the odour of the destruction?

I don’t understand why I get so tired always when I travel. This week my job at Serlachius Museum was supervising things, basically drinking coffee and waiting. The Finns also stop working very early in the afternoon, I had time to watch TV in the note room. No parties or other activities than sauna with Pauli. Anyways, next week will be harder - my wife travels tomorrow morning to Germany and I’m going to be alone parenting the kids. That will mean practically no working but it doesn’t matter because an army of workers is finishing my MuNA - Museum of No Art while I play Lego and football.
