 Lebanese pound is the official currency unit of Lebanon although US dollars are used also. Pound's value is kept stable relative to the dollar. Either Lebanese pounds or US dollars are accepted everywhere, and it is common to pay in dollars but receive change in pounds

 Estimated 28% of the Lebanese people lives below poverty line ($2,500). The estimation does't include Palestinian and Syrian refugees residing in Lebanon. |
