Children's bathing toys
i The children’s bathing toys have been collected on the Greek island Lesbos, to which hundreds of thousands of migrants and refugees have come by rubber boat from Turkey in the past two years. Most of the life jackets worn by adults on this voyage are useless fake vests manufactured in Izmir, Turkey. To prevent them from drowning, children are given pool toys, though they carry the warning “This is not a life saving device.”
