The t-shirt was painted in Chaaya Island resort in Maldives where the artist conducted a workshop for professional surfers. The project was a collaboration with the French surf clothing brand Oxbow and was supposed to result as a collection of t-shirts produced by the company. The project was canceled by the company after the workshop.
