i Eau Sauvage is a perfume that was launched by Christian Dior 50 years ago. The texts of the work are from an advertisement of a perfume shop in Tangier. Calling Arabs savages is part of the colonialist and orientalist discourse.

In the early 1900s, Spain and France divided Morocco between themselves. Tangier was an international area that was jointly administered by a few European countries. Morocco became independent in 1956.
